Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is the only one hunting authorized park in Nepal, located at the three districts of Nepal: March, April, May, September, October, and November are the best hunting season of 2019, 2020, 2021, Baglung, Myagdi and Rukum are the Best shooting Area of Nepal. It is surrounded by the Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. It was started in 1987AD, which is extended in an land of 1325 s q km. Most of the parts lie on the higher altitude, where the pasture lands lie. Many tourists come from different countries around the world in this area to fulfill their hunting ego by paying royalties. The hunting license is granted to you by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife conservation to hunt only four animals in Nepal, including the blue sheep and Himalayan thar.

The woodland of this hunting reserve area are alpine, sub-alpine and high temperate. They consist of rhododendron, birch, pine, fir, hemlock, oak and juniper. Other wild animals habitat in this region are Leopard, Himalayan black bears, wild boar, langur and others. Mountain pigeons and Cheer pheasant are habituated in this region. Falugne, Barse, Seng, Dogadi, Sundaha and Gustang are the hunting blocks in the Dhorpatan hunting tour. Although it is chilling cold in the winter, March- April is the best season for the hunting trip in Nepal
